Asset setup and program parameters

These values drive every calculation downstream. Change anything here and the whole model recomputes immediately. Yellow fields are Technical Authority parameters.

Registration flags

Set once per asset. Selects libraries, scales and regulatory overlays.

Program parameters

End of field life and intervention strategy have the largest effect on total scope.

Gates

Aggregate calculated quantities into executable scope.

Budget

Used by the plan and the budget simulation. Cost never selects scope — it selects sequence within a scope integrity has already bounded.

Criticality matrix

Consequence-weighted per Decision D-03. Editable, but the asymmetry is deliberate — an item with low probability but high consequence must outrank the reverse.

CADA ladder

Proportion of the corrosion allowance consumable before intervention, by criticality.

The algorithm this model runs

PoF uses exposed life, and the full allowance — not CADA.Metal loss does not begin until the coating reaches the maintenance point, so exposed life subtracts remaining coating protection. And PoF must use the full allowance rather than the CADA-adjusted value, because CADA is set by criticality, which is set by PoF — using it there would be circular.

Item Part register

The asset register. Every Item Part carries two independent classifications — a geometry class driving the integrity calculation and a work-type class driving specification and cost.

Condition sets

The unit of calculation. An Item Part with three distinct condition zones is planned as three quantities in three different years — this is the single largest source of justified scope reduction. Percentages within one Item Part should total 100%.

Engine output

Every intermediate step is shown, not just the answer — the calculation has to be auditable by a Technical Authority, which means the working must be visible.

Plan and budget

Integrity-driven demand by year against available budget. Where the budget cannot absorb the demand, the shortfall is shown explicitly — a plan that hides its own breaches is not a plan.

Demand vs budget

Condition trajectory under budget

Average condition if the annual budget is the binding constraint.

Seeded degradation.Trajectory uses the seeded degradation assumption below, not measured performance. Treat direction as informative and magnitude as indicative.

Year-by-year

Execution

Contractor-claimed and independently verified progress are held as separate fields so the gap stays visible. All reporting and payment certification use verified area only.

Registers

Observations escalate to Integrity Queries. Scope changes flow through Engineering Queries — approved scope equals the frozen baseline plus the sum of approved EQs.

Engineering Query ledger

Every deferral is a numbered, reasoned, approval-gated record rather than a silent slip.

Integrity Queries

Standing data libraries

The calibration of the program. Every library is editable and every change recalculates the model. Seeded values are assumptions doing the work of measurements — replace them as your own survey history accumulates.

Corrosivity zones

Corrosion rate drives metal loss; ESR modifies coating life.

Coating systems

Unit rates are placeholders — replace with your own cost base before any budgeting use.

Substrate condition

Services — consequence of failure and corrosion allowance

CoF and CA are Technical Authority decisions. "Matrix CoF" normalises Medium to Low for the 3×3 matrix.

Access difficulty

Labour factor multiplies estimated man-hours — a >4× cost driver between easiest and hardest.

Data

This model holds everything in memory. Nothing is written to disk until you export — and nothing persists when you close the tab. Export before you walk away.

Export

JSON is the full model including all libraries and parameters. CSV is the engine output for use elsewhere.

Import

Load a previously exported model. This replaces everything currently loaded.

Import replaces the whole model.Export first if you have unsaved work.

Inspections

Next inspection due is derived from the last survey plus the re-baseline interval in the manual (five years), so the schedule is a consequence of the survey record rather than a separate list that can drift out of step with it.

Observations and anomalies

The escalation flag is computed from the Section 11.3 thresholds — coating breakdown at or beyond Ri 4, general loss ≥ 2 mm or 10% of wall, pitting > 4 mm or 20% of wall, and any confirmed CUI or corrosion under PFP. Anything flagged requires Technical Authority disposition.
